Brazil Moreninhi Formosa Coffee possesses a surprising brightness (acidity) and wonderful chocolaty flavor. Its light floral aroma and top notes of citrus make this one of the few single origin Brazilian coffees recommended for espresso.
This sun-drided, full natural coffee comes from the Cerrado region of Brazil and more specifically the micro-region of Serra do Salitre. This region of Brazil is known for its unusual coffee which is grown in dry, flat, non-volcanic areas. It is believed that this departure from the most common growing conditions (higher altitude, more moisture and volcanic soil) is what creates the deep chocolate notes that makes Brazil Moreninhi Formosa stand out from the crowd.
