Green Colombia Supremo Popaya Beans
Colombia Supremo Popayan has a distinct caremely-sweetness contained in a smooth easy drinking body. Another good coffee for beginning roasters because of the consistent bean size and medium-high to high moisture content. We like to recommend this coffee be roasted at a high “medium” roast for french press and drip pot grinds. As with many Colombian coffees it can take a high roast and is great for experimenting. This coffee will also do nicely as a base for an espresso blend, its carmel tones tend to blend well with spice notes (like our Peru Piura). Another interesting blend would be to add in a touch of Sidamo (fruity, winey) to Supremo Popayan for an espresso with ‘punch’.
